Polyglactin 910 suture is synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Sutures are dyed with FDA approved dye D and C violet, it is also available in Undyed.

Needles are with optimum sharpness which finally delivers smooth riding on tissues during suturing. Sutures meets all the requirements as per the United States Pharmacopeia for Synthetic Absorbable Suture.

Indications:

Polyglactin 910 suture retains tensile strength of about 70% till 14days after implantation, it completely absorbs within 56-70days by simple hydrolytic mechanism and absorption is predictable. Polyglactin 910 suture is a much more superior alternative to catgut sutures since its absorption is more predictable, tensile strength is better and it exhibits no tissue reaction.
